Tribute to Mr Rajaratnam...
Friday, February 24, 2006 @ 8:52 PM
Both the National flag and school flag
was flown at half-mast since 23 Feb and
will only return to full-mast on 26 Feb.
This is done as a respect to Mr Rajaratnam.
Our Singapore Pioneer,
who also penned our National Pledge 40 yrs ago.
"We, the Citizens of singapore,
pledge ourselves as one united people,
regardless of race, language or religion,
to built a democratic society,
based on justice and equality,
so as to archieve happiness,
prosperity and progress for our nation."
It has been a sad week as Mr Rajaratnam
passed away from heart failure.
just 3 days before his 91th birthday.
He did not left us. He will always live in
singaporeans heart. =D
Right after the National anthem,
Mr Tan went up to the platform to
read a tribute to Mr Rajaratnam.
